CONSULTING
I'm a New England based commercial, editorial and portrait photographer. Our photography feels spontaneous, in the moment and even a little messy. It’s real. And these moments are often the result of a carefully planned and executed still photography production process. I’m a skilled storyteller with an eye for beautiful visuals and years of creatively approaching production to create engaging content (even before it was called “content”.)
There are 4 steps to take before heading to set. I work as a consultant to help brands make sure they are ready to capture exactly the kinds of images they are looking for. Our team can help with strategy and implementation to make sure you’re achieving your still photography goals for any kind of work. Here’s how we can help:
BUILDING A REMARKABLE BRIEF
The creative brief outlines the goals for the photo shoot. It’s essentially the WHY of the process. We’ll work together to make sure your brief is intentional and comprehensive. Our team is available for everything from researching and building the entire brief to strategic thinking about an approach to a quick glance to look for improvements. I can also act as an art director on set for bigger productions that are not my own.
INSPIRATION
Once we know what the goals are for still photography, we can work with you to make sure your mood board inspires and communicates your creative vision. With years of experience researching and staying inspired by the creative world and still photography, we have a breadth of experience to make sure your inspiration feels as exciting as you’d like your final photographs to be.
PLANNING AN EFFICIENT PRODUCTION
Many people don’t know this but I was an airline economist before I became a photographer. My bachelor’s degree is in math-econ. I was data driven before that was even a term. I love efficiency and believe that remarkable creativity comes from a very structured process. Our team will help you translate your brief and moodboard into the right size production for exceptional and useful final deliverables. This includes building a shot list, determining a budget, managing expectations around scope, etc.
FROM PLANNING TO ACTION
Executing a production is a balance of project management, talent recruiting, managing stakeholders’ expectations, good judgment and creative problem solving. Our team is exceptional at building productions down to the smallest details including an efficient production schedule, an accurate call sheet, location permitting, casting, covid compliance and of course a delicious lunch. We have a remarkable network of assistants, stylists, caterers, scouts, talent agencies, travel contacts etc. We can build a production with three people and help you act as the producer all the way up to multi city national campaigns.
